Fail blue hair dye

Okay, so I tried the hair dye. I think I failed a bit in the end by using a bit of shampoo to wash my hair, because this dye is rather weak compared to the permanent ones and even more colour just washed right off. If I bleached my hair, the effect would be better, but I can't asked for much with a cheap jar of fun hair dye from Save-on-foods. And so here it is.

Back from Whistler trip

Got some good rest after coming back last night, didn't crawl out of bed till 2pm.
Had lunch and rolled around the house a bit before going out to Save-on-foods and Chapters to get some stuff. Yes, I am fail OTZ I still haven't wrapped or mailed any Christmas gifts yet. I managed to briefly finish my Christmas shopping around my finals but the class x-mas party and trip to Whistler let my mind go on holidays and didn't come back till now. So, today I am determined to finish my Christmas wrappings, card writing and also preparation for tomorrow's photo shoot!

Room reno & Pre-xmas break update

When winter break's here, I think I need to work on finishing shaping up my room.

Room furniture to get:

  • belt rack (for behind door maybe)
  • Victorian influenced coat stand
  • silver coloured pocket watch style clock
  • plastic/ glass cases for my accessories & models (need to move them into cases and put them somewhere else to clear space off my bookshelf, my new books need a home ;A; )

When I'm done shaping my room, I'll put some photos up here ♥
3 more days of school till winter break, working on final project for Materials course right now! Our last day of school is Wednesday (Dec 15) and so is our class Christmas party. I'll be going on family vacation from Dec 25-27 to Portland, US for hopefully tons of shopping and a x-mas party, will be sure to take lots of photos and update my blog when I come back. Can't wait till winter break, it's almost here and I have so many plans! But for now, better get back to work.

Working on Finals

You know you weren't thinking when...
  1. ...you see 'Polycarbonate: struggle to strathing' on your notes and you go "What the hell was I thinking!?" then "What does that even mean???"
I was organizing my loose notes from site visits in Materials class for my final project, and when I say loose, believe me, it was truly loose. I spent more time trying to figure out what the hell I wrote than actually typing and organizing the notes. I later logically interpreted that sentence as 'Polycarbonate: can be easily scratched'. This just proves that the 'thinking' application is usually not on for me when I'm taking notes, how wonderful.

You know your friend is tired when...
  1. ...she gets up for the washroom but walks into the closet
  2. ...she starts laughing at things that aren't really that funny

You know you're seeing your classmates too much, when...

  1. ...you start dreaming about them in a zombie slaying dream
Since a few weeks ago, Viola had started having dreams about people in our class or instructors that taught us. Once, she dreamt about our Materials instructor going to her workplace for noodles. In the dream, he had a wife and kids, and he spoke Chinese (where to our knowledge, the truth was our instructor was a Caucasian male with a male partner, no kids and he did not speak any Asian language). That was one of the more wacky examples but she did have many more other dreams than that with different classmates each time. I gave a giggle and told her that she was seeing the class too much (it was the period after mid semester had passed and a great deal of the class was staying at school quite late to work on projects). I gave a thought that I wouldn't really want to dream about our classmates, not that I don't like them, it's just that I'm seeing them so much during the day already, at least in my dreams I hope I can spend some quality time with someone else. Then that night, I dreamt about not just some of my classmates, but the entire class...excellent.

The setting of the dream was that an evil cooperation wanted to control the governments by spreading a virus to make all the citizens into mind-controlled zombies. Our class was smart enough to run away from the attacks and stayed at my house for hiding (my house had some kind of super shelter setting with iron walls when an awesome security system was activated). We did research, discussed and tried planning in how we could survive or even 'save the world' (this proves that we are doing enough group projects in school...). I investigated members of the evil cooperation on my laptop and spied on them by hacking into the City's surveillance cameras. I started tracking down one of them in a park until I was noticed and surrounded by other members of the cooperation (they had black sunglasses and wore outfits that looked like something in 'The Matrix'...must've been because of 'Resident Evil: Afterlife'). Then somehow I pressed a button on a gadget I held in my hand and the scenes started rewinding back...as I watched the scenes rewind back like a video recording, I woke up.

When I told this to one of my POD mates today, she asked me if I gamed a lot, I told her that I used to (but no more ever since the term started) and must have missed it since this dream showed up.

And so, conclusions are:
'Resident Evil' 'Click' + I'm seeing my classmates too much...

Team work evaluation
"Oh, Adrian did this, Kris did this, Viola did this.......and Megan smoked."

Quote from when our POD was filling in a evaluation sheet for a team project in our drafting class. The first part was identifying what each person did, so, we tried. Sadly, that didn't show up on the paper in the end, now I wonder why XD?

A Study in Pink

It is a romantic adventure in a way, Sherlock.
Has *cough*Sherlock/John*cough* written all over it. *smiles*

Diamonds are Forever

On with the beer can blowing! \o/ GO~~~~SHERLOCK~~~~~~ LOL
It's not a complete bad idea when you consider that the wall doesn't have to take another pounding, I'm sure the wall didn't see a second time coming (at least it's probably hoping not).

SH Obsession

School Life
Projects, projects & projects. I'm eating a lot of junk while I'm working on them and definitely not getting enough exercise (*sobs tears of blood*). 9 more days till our winter break and I hope I can carry out some exercises and a little diet before or after that. My life is pretty much just Sherlock and school right now, Sherlock just makes everything better after I see him or listen to his voice haha.

BBC: Sherlock Holmes
Yes yes, Sherlock Holmes has always been my ♥. Just that recently my passion came burning 300% after watching, re-watching and even plain listening to the new BBC Sherlock Holmes TV series for god knows how many times. Benedict Cumberbatch is just BRILLIANT!!! One of the most adorable, perfect and genius Sherlocks I have seen so far. Jeremy Brett was my top fav Sherlock before Benny came along but now they stand on the same ground, that's just how awesome Benny!Sherlock is ♥. If you haven't watched it, you should because the series is just one word: BRILLIANT.

Prepare for Sherlock: (fan-made video/trailer kind of thing)
This just proves that Sherlock is too cute XD
"Anderson, don't talk out loud. You lower the IQ of the whole street."
(Quotes ref: Sherlock (BBC) Wiki quotes)

Sherlock/John fan-vid: HOT N COLD
(Warning: hints of Boys Love in here << my cup of tea)
I love how the clips have the most perfect timings and fit with the lyrics so well lol
Especially the part around 0:36 "You're in then you're out, you're up then you're down" pfffft that scene where Sherlock was poking his head around in The Blind Banker was cute enough by itself, adding it right there just made almost died laughing XDDDDD Oh Sherlock, why art thou so adorable

BBC Sherlock Holmes OST: EWQL Symphony Orchestra
The main theme in the TV series, I WANT THIS AS MY NEW RINGTONE >A
Hope the OST CD comes out soon OTZ

It's the Winter time

School life
It's already Nov 28th, and 2 weeks of school left, so unbelievable in how the weeks have past and winter break is almost here (not to forget the final project deadlines for the semester too). Daily homework as always, is due every day. Around the middle of the semester, I started staying at school till dinner time almost everyday, I think calling it my second home wouldn't be exaggerating at all. (At times I even just have dinner at school and go home just to shower and sleep) I'm not complaining that I'm the most unfortunate soul on this planet, it's just that it can get stressful sometimes.

Yet at times, it can still be fun, like on Friday, me and my pod mates went to a liquor store nearby and each bought a pack of coolers or beers, drank while we were doing homework at school. My two pod mates transferred the alcohol into coffee cups and I just drank under the table when a great deal of classmates had headed home. Something like that from time to time is fun. I think I've started craving for alcohol again, it makes me feel that I do have "Me time" when I'm sitting somewhere drinking and dosing into thoughts that do not relate to school. It relaxes me (and so does Sherlock Holmes).

♛ My program:
Kwantlen (the university I am studying at now) only takes in 20 students each year for the Interior Design program. Currently, there are less than 80 students in the whole program. All of the classes for each Year is the same, so each Year usually has their own classroom for the entire year. (Which means you will be stuck with the same 19 faces for 4 years and will have burnt your soul in 4 classrooms altogether upon graduation from the program) Each student in our program is also required to rent a school laptop, in it is all the licensed softwares we will need for our studies, the laptop is altered to fit the needs of the students in the interior design program

♛ POD:
For our Year 1 class, we decided to be seated in 5 pods of 4 students. Currently I am seated with my back to a wall with a window, I hang my stuff on the wall and it's quite comfy with lots more privacy since no one can peep behind me to see what I'm doing on my laptop. (like porn sites? just kidding)

Day-off: Shopping
Took a day off today and planned to finish off my homework for Monday on Sunday. I've done enough winter shopping for Kris earlier in October but just needed to do some for Kristina as well. So, just dropped by Forever 21, got 2 pairs of cute shoes, a blue shirt, navy sweater and a grey v-neck sweater. Kristina's theme for this winter is nerdy cute I guess, took some photos while devouring some winter treats, hot chocolate and a scone.

Here's the grey v-neck and the blue skirt, but fail in forgetting the glasses...

"Please excuse my flabby arms & thighs"

Next week: Planning to start and complete most of the Christmas shopping.

Fact of the day
(This is the part where I realize or remember stupid things about myself and record it down, read if you're interested and ignore if you find it boring.)

1. I never use a cup for rinsing water when I brush my teeth.

I just use my hand to scoop water for rinsing. I realized this when I found red mold built up at the bottom of the cup when watering my aloe the other day. I'm considering if I should get rid of the cup since I don't use it and cleaning it just to let it built mold and to have to clean it again just seems a bit meaningless.

Welcome!

Why the new blog:
Just to keep track of my life and let my pals out there who would like
to know what I'm upto, how I'm doing or if I'm dead yet know that I'm still
alive (for now) even though schoolwork is killing my HP day by day.

Just brief about me:
Or the updated me since if you're reading this blog you probably (or should) already know me. My life isn't all that interesting, but if some aspects of it can entertain or even inspire, well, I'm honored.

Me: poor university student mooching off parents with nothing I am super
good at in a outstanding level that makes me a genius in that practice

Nope, I'm not brilliant, now isn't that surprising? (joking joking)

P.S. I never knew I could write so much for one post in a blog (Glares at It's the Winter time). Perhaps this proves that my bullshitting skills have improved and that suddenly having a blog again after so long just requires lots of catching up in recording (I need a Watson to record for me, life would be easier, too bad
I'm not Sherlock Holmes)
